About this website
HGT is an employer-facing information and enquiry website for Australian employers interested in German-trained trades candidates.
The website is intended to help Australian employers describe hiring demand and role requirements at an early stage. It is not an offer to supply workers, a labour-hire service, an employer of record service, a job board, a recruitment agency service or an employment agent service.
Legal note
Hire German Trades is an independent employer enquiry site focused on German-trained trade candidates. It is not a consumer tradie directory, quote marketplace, job board, labour-hire platform, employment agency, employment agent or migration advice service, and is not affiliated with any similarly named trade directory or marketplace.
The words "German-trained" and "German trades" refer to training background, qualification context and labour-market pathway. They are not intended to encourage decisions based on race, ethnicity, nationality, national extraction or any other protected attribute.
Employment agent, recruitment and labour-hire services
The website does not itself find workers for employers, find employment for job seekers, supply labour, make placements, make offers of employment, negotiate employment terms or accept fees for arranging employment.
Submitting an enquiry through this website does not create an agency, recruitment, employment agent, labour-hire, placement, referral or representation relationship with HGT.
Any later service involving recruitment, candidate introductions, matching, referrals, fees, employment placement, employment agency activity, employment agent activity or labour-hire activity would need to be agreed separately in writing and considered against applicable laws, licensing requirements and registration obligations before it starts. This may include South Australian employment agent requirements and any relevant labour-hire licensing regime.
The legal treatment of any later service depends on the actual service provided, not only on the wording of this page.
No migration, legal or licensing advice
Information on this website is general information only. It is not migration advice, legal advice, employment law advice, tax advice, financial advice or licensing advice.
Visa and sponsorship matters should be reviewed by a registered migration agent or Australian legal practitioner where required. Skills assessment and licence matters should be checked with the relevant assessing authority, TRA-approved RTO, state or territory licensing regulator, or a licensed trade specialist where practical work scope or supervision is involved.
No outcome guarantee
Employment, visa, sponsorship, nomination, licensing, skills assessment and relocation outcomes depend on external decision makers. These may include employers, candidates, government departments, assessing authorities, licensing bodies and other third parties.
Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee access to candidates, a successful hire, candidate acceptance, visa approval, sponsorship approval, licensing approval, skills assessment approval or any particular time frame.
Employer enquiries and employer responsibilities
Employers should provide accurate, current and lawful information about the business, role location, trade demand, role requirements, timing and sponsorship experience.
Employers must not submit discriminatory, unlawful, misleading or deceptive requests. This includes requests based on race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, family or carer's responsibilities, pregnancy, religion, political opinion, national extraction or social origin.
Employers remain responsible for their own recruitment decisions, sponsorship decisions, employment contracts, right-to-work checks, workplace safety, award or enterprise agreement compliance, wage obligations, licensing supervision, workplace training and any other employment or work health and safety obligations.
Any later commercial engagement, fee arrangement, recruitment service, referral arrangement or matching process will need to be agreed separately in writing and must be lawful for the relevant jurisdiction.
Candidate and third-party information
Any candidate information shared through a later process must be handled confidentially and used only for genuine hiring assessment, recruitment discussions and related compliance steps.
Employers must not use candidate information for unrelated marketing, resale, data enrichment, discriminatory screening, unlawful profiling or any purpose unrelated to the hiring discussion.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.
To the extent permitted by law, HGT is not liable for indirect, consequential or business interruption losses arising from use of this website or reliance on general website information.
Website content and links
We aim to keep information useful and current, but do not warrant that website content is complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular employer situation. External links may lead to third-party websites that are not controlled by HGT.
Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and applicable laws of Australia. Courts with jurisdiction in South Australia may hear disputes connected with these website terms, subject to any mandatory law that applies.
